"TimberBuySell.com is a web site that provides a marketplace for forest resources, such as standing timber, logs, mill residues and forest residues. This market includes private landowners, mill owners, forestry consultants, and government agencies. The idea for this site was sparked by comments from people in the forestry industry, and further research showed an untapped need for a site that specializes in forest materials.
After months of planning, we contacted various software companies to bid on the site construction. The bids trickled in slowly and some were extremely high priced. So, we changed our tactics and researched off-the-shelf products for ad systems. MarketGrabber came in hands-down on almost every feature we needed – and offered many features that we hadn’t included in the original bid request.
To meet our original business plan, we needed many customizations to the MarketGrabber package.
